On leave for Thanksgiving, the last thing marine lieutenant Talia Barnett expects to find is Liam Brodie waiting for her at the airport. He's had a starring role in her fantasies for the past two years, and although she'd love to make them a reality, she has a dark secret that prevents her from taking things further.

A former marine, Liam's specialty is planning tactical operations, and that's just what he plans to do to win Talia. The woman has kept him at arm's length for too long, and this time he's finally going to claim her—body and heart.

What begins as comfort quickly turns hot. When Liam shows Talia a hint of the dominant nature inside him, the submissive part of her flares to life. Though she desires him, she's going back on deployment and doesn't want to dump all her drama on him. Will he find a way to break through the protective walls around her heart and convince her they have a future that goes far beyond the bedroom?

Let Me In edition by Callie Croix Literature Fiction eBooks

"Let Me In" is the second book I've read from the amazing author, Callie Croix. I didn't even realize "Let Me In" was coming out until I noticed someone mention it on twitter. I dropped everything and pre-ordered it. When it finally downloaded on my Kindle, I had to make room to read it.
First off, I want to say, that Callie is my hero. I love reading books with military men in them, but to read a book that has a female character as a marine...major bonus points to Callie. (Being a Navy Veteran...I love when Authors write a female character into their book, who is in the military)
Talia is now one of my top female characters that I've read so far this year. I loved how strong she was and how no matter what, she took care of her Mom even though her Mom didn't really want Talia in her life. Talia was used to taking care of herself after what happened to her Mom when her ex-boyfriends left her Mom. She hasn't talked to her Mom in a couple of years now and doesn't know what to expect. Is her Mom still mentally ill and having trouble financially, etc? She'll soon find out and it won't really be a great reunion.
When she comes home on leave, no one is there to meet her at the airport, until she realizes her best friend and her best friend's brother Liam is there to surprise her.
Talia loves Liam's family and secretly is infatuated with him, but she told him a long time ago, she didn't want anything more than friendship. Liam though has other plans on trying to win over Talia. He knows how Talia doesn't like to be helped, but he forces her to accept his help. Talia is embarassed when Liam finds out how she grew up and what she is still going through with her Mom.
Talia finally lets go and ends up giving in to Liam one night after a incident with her Mom that Liam witnessed. Oh...and it was a good night for her. =)
Let's just say, Liam is one sexy, domineering man who loves pleasing.
That one time though, makes Talia realize she doesn't want to go any further and she tries to push him away. Liam of course is getting frustrated with her. He won't push her though because he doesn't want to lose her trust.
I won't go any further because I do not want to spoil anything for the readers who are planning on reading this.
This book was amazing. I would've read it in one day if it wasn't for sleep deprivation. Sometimes being a Mommy can be rough, so sleep wins over reading. (notice the sometimes)
I fell in love with Liam. *sigh* He is every girl's dream come true. He was there to help Talia through a rough time in her life and he didn't judge her. He loved her and he wanted to be more than friends with her. He cared so much about her and Talia didn't even realize it.
Talia was a strong character too. She went through so much and still managed to pull through everything. She just needed to realize she had friends there who wanted to help her along the way no matter what.
I recommend this book to any reader who loves reading erotica, loves strong heroines and heroes, and also loves the dominant man in the bed. (Liam will be on your mind for days after your read this book...at least he was for me) =)
Look forward to reading more books from Callie Croix soon.
I also will be reading books from her other pen name, Kaylea Cross, too.
If you haven't added this book to your to-read list, what are you waiting for. It's only $0.99.

Let Me In edition by Callie Croix Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This is a good BDSM novella to read. Enjoyed the chemisty between Talia and Laim, how he gets pass her protective wall around her heart.
This deeply romantic story is interesting. The characters are wonderful, thoughtful people. The story shows great caring and true love. Highly recommend. There is endless patience for those you love and cherish. Liam and Talia are sexy and perfect for each other. I loved Liam in the last story in this series. ENJOY !!
For me it's a 4.5 Stars

This short book is packed with raw emotions. It all revolves around Talia's fear of losing the perfect friends once they know about how imperfect her own family is.

I loved how Talia's not only finds comfort in Liam, but how he get her to trust her, even when she is not even aware of it, how he understand how much she needed a well deserve relieve from so much tension, but most of all how he treated her with kind and loving manners while still being dominant.

Once more, Ms. Croix delivers a Hunky Military hero in a sexy plot that leaves you daydreaming.
Another great story by Callie. This story was a beautiful and pleasurable with raw emotions mixed in. I was on an emotional journey with Talia. Coming back from military service, she was thrown into feelings of sadness, despair, longing, lust and love. When she sees Liam, her emotions go soaring out of control. Liam is a dominate alpha male that has longed to be with Talia. They go on a journey of discovery together. Liam helps Talia let go of the control that is keeping her from living. Oh my! How I wish I had a Liam to help me release my control. Callie had me feeling all the emotions Talia was going through and I cried right along with her. This is a beautifully written book and I would recommend you read. I'm now going to read No Holds Barred which Liam helps out his friend Nathan fulfill his girlfriend's fantasy. Yum...
I love any story with military heroes and this was no exception. Liam, a former Marine, has always had a crush on Talia, but she's always kept him at a distance. Now she's home on leave in time for Thanksgiving, but the nostalgia all around her just makes her feel even more lonely. When her best friend and her hot, older brother, Liam, surprise her at the airport, she's overwhelmed. They've always seen her as a part of their family, but she's never told them the full truth about her only living relative, her mother. While Liam's crush flames anew upon seeing her again, he knows she's hiding something from him. When he finds out about her secret, Talia is even more determined to stay away from Liam, and thwart his advances. In a moment of grief and weakness, she succumbs to his charms. Liam thinks he's gained serious ground with her only to find out that she's more stubborn than he is.

There aren't any BDSM elements in this story. Liam is simply one hell of an alpha male. He wants her badly, but he's incredibly sweet and gentle when it comes to her. I fell for him immediately.

Talia frustrated me to no end. In the beginning I understood her shame and wanting to keep her mother's condition a secret. I didn't really understand her assumptions that Liam's family would shun her because of it, after having known her for so long. I felt really sorry for Liam towards the end after the second rejection. I would have liked to have read her thoughts when she had her epiphany. I wanted to see it and not be told what she's ultimately decided. I'd still read this again, but mainly because of Liam )

If you read this, make sure you read No Holds Barred first. I didn't, but it takes place before Let Me In. When Liam and Talia are catching up, he tells her that his friend Nathan got married. He goes on to remember the threesome he participated in with Nathan and his then fiancee Cait. He also vows never to tell Talia about that. I got so wrapped up in Talia and Liam, reading about him with the other couple just seems a little like a betrayal. I may change my mind because my curiosity is getting the better of me.
